Motor vehicle trade and agency agreement Opportunities and risks

Sales in the automotive industry is currently undergoing significant changes. The previous distribution system with a network of independent brand dealers and garages is to be replaced by sales agents. This raises key questions for the Swiss economy: How will the agency model affect the competitiveness of garage owners? What risks do manufacturers have to assume if they want to introduce an agency model? What does the loss of entrepreneurial freedom mean for car dealers? These and other questions will be answered by representatives from politics and business at the SKR and AGVS event on the motor vehicle trade.

If you have missed an event or would like to watch it again, we have uploaded the videos for you:

CROWDLOBBYING FOR KMU

The aim of the SME Foundation for Law Enforcement (SKR) is to pool the interests of SMEs and help them to enforce their rights and represent their interests politically and in the media. The aim is to enable companies to pool their legal problem-solving and political and media lobbying, which reduces costs for individual SMEs and increases public pressure thanks to the pooling of a large number of affected parties. As a foundation, it is charitable and not profit-oriented.

ENGAGEMENT

Markets are becoming more complex and more and more SMEs are dependent on large companies. They cannot defend themselves alone. SKR pools the strengths of SMEs and uses strong arguments to make an effective political, legal and public impact. In this way, it creates better framework conditions and fairer competition for Swiss SMEs.

WHO IS THE SKR?

- The SKR (Stiftung KMU für Rechtsdurchsetzung) is a non-profit foundation that pools knowledge from the worlds of business, science and politics to support SMEs.

• The SKR helps SMEs that are structurally dependent on market-dominating players through no fault of their own.

• The SKR is non-partisan and open to alliances.

• The SKR focuses on specific problems of SMEs in various sectors and launches projects to bundle their interests and assert them with united forces.

• The SKR also sees itself as a point of contact for SMEs that are discriminated against in any way and offers effective support.

• The SKR sees itself as an independent service platform for SMEs.
For me, this is a kind of "crowd lobbying for KMU" - finally the small ones are being thought of!
At last, KMU can also defend themselves effectively - until now, only large companies could afford to do so!
